Job summary

Cornel’s is expanding its electrical department in the Portland area, seeking a skilled residential electrician to join a locally owned home services team. You will perform service, repairs, and installations, ensure code compliance, and deliver excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate holds an Oregon Journeyman Electrician License, has 5 years of residential experience, and can work with high safety and quality standards while coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of residential electrical experience.
• Solid knowledge of residential electrical systems and current Oregon codes.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong customer communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service, repairs, and installations for residential jobs (running circuits, lighting, panels, and code-compliant upgrades).
• Inspect, repair, upgrade, and replace electrical panels and service equipment.
• Conduct comprehensive electrical inspections for safety and code compliance in residential homes.
• Diagnose electrical problems using multimeters and appropriate tools.
• Excellent communication with customers.
• Ensure all work strictly complies with current Oregon electrical codes and high safety/quality standards.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites; provide excellent customer service; document work performed; and support upfront communication with every customer.
• Support other departments on jobs requiring electrical support.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service, repairs, and installations for residential jobs (running circuits, lighting, panels, and code-compliant upgrades).
• Inspect, repair, upgrade, and replace electrical panels and service equipment.
• Conduct comprehensive electrical inspections for safety and code compliance in residential homes, identifying issues like outdated panels, wiring problems, and grounding deficiencies.
• Diagnose electrical problems using multimeters and appropriate tools.
• Excellent communication with customers.
• Ensure all work strictly complies with current Oregon electrical codes and PDX Electric's high standards for safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites; provide excellent customer service; accurately document work performed; and support our commitment to transparent, upfront communication with every customer.
• Support other departments on their jobs requiring electrical support.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Current Oregon Journeyman Electrician License
• 5 years of residential electrical experience
• Solid knowledge of residential electrical systems, wiring methods, panels, and current Oregon electrical codes
