Job summary

International Paper in Northlake, IL is hiring an Electrician-Mechanic for a full-time on-site role with shifts 7:00 am–3:00 pm, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, and 3:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday–Friday. The position involves troubleshooting PLCs and drives, repairing control systems, reading schematics, and performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic work.

The role pays $51.32 per hour and requires willingness to work alternate shifts, weekends and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Reading electrical block diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

The Job You Will Perform

• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and A/C and D/C drives.
• Make necessary repairs to drive and their control system use.
• Maximum the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
• Reading electrical block diagrams, schematics.
• Following all safety rule and practices.
• Maintaining teamwork work with other associates.
• Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other repairs and installations as needed.
• Qualified candidates must be able to pass an advanced industrial skills and instrumentation/electrician knowledge test prior to interview process
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
