S&K Technologies, Inc. seeks an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, generators, and sensors for Tower Systems Sustainment Activities and Deployments.

You will work off schematics and blueprints, ensure NEC/Federal/OSHA compliance, and travel to towers up to 500’ high while supporting spy/tower systems in varied weather. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (college degree or trade school preferred) and at least 3 years in the electrical

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree or trade school preferred.
  • 3 years of electrical field experience.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
  • DOT medical card if no CDL due to vehicle gross weight; CDL preferred.
  • OSHA-10, authorized tower climbing/rescue, CPR/AED, RF, rigging, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hiring.
  • State licenses/certifications for applicable installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, generators, and sensors.
  • Work from schematics/blueprints to build components and circuits.
  • Follow NEC, local building codes, and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical problems using testing tools.
  • Transport materials to and from job sites and drive to worksites.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on towers, power, and sensor systems.

Job description

S&K Security Group (SKSG) LLC is a subsidiary of S&K Technologies, Inc. We are seeking an Electrician who will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, generators, and sensors supporting SKSG on Tower Systems Sustainment Activities and Deployments. This position will ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), Federal regulations and OSHA safety standards. May build or install transformers, service panel boxes, or electrical control systems, solar arrays, battery banks, and propane/diesel generators. The Electrician will possess previous work experience (college degree or trade school), certifications and licenses required by the State where work is to be performed. Being able to work in various working condition is a must. You may spend time working inside buildings under construction/renovation or outdoors on power, towers up to 500’ in height, broadcast, surveillance and telecommunications systems. This work spans field services in all weather conditions day or night with occasional assignments to the warehouse or other duties. Per diem and travel allowances paid.

A sample of the work performed by this position includes but is not limited to:

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work from schematics, blueprints or technical diagrams.
  • Build electrical components, such as power trays, junction boxes, interfaces, and circuits to required specifications.
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing tools and strategies.
  • Follow state and local building codes/regulations based on the National Electric Code.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to identify the cause and to correct the problem.
  • Drive vehicle to worksites in a safe manner.
  • Load material or equipment for transport from the shop to the jobsite and secure as appropriate.
  • Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Preventative Maintenance on tower, power, communications, and sensor systems, including generator maintenance.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program.
  • Perform timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly to support reporting and payroll activities.
  • Participate as a vital crew member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization.
Education
  • High school diploma/GED (College Degree preferred)
Experience
  • 3 years in electrical field
Licenses/ Certification/ Registration
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card, if no CDL, due to gross weight on vehicles (CDL is preferred)
  • Must be able to complete and maintain OSHA-10, authorized tower climbing and rescue, CPR, AED, RF, basic principles of rigging, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hiring
  • After one year, must have completed manlift/forklift operator’s license/certification and competent tower climbing and
  • State approved licenses and certifications for applicable installations.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, DOT medical screening, poster offer background check and drug screening.
