Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Shop Electrician to join our manufacturing team in the United States. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for refrigeration equipment, reading schematics and working on 1st shift with occasional Saturdays. Reports to the VP of Manufacturing.

You will handle conduit and wiring, motor control circuits, PLC sensors, and related electrical tasks on our in-house engineered systems.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical experience: minimum 4 years in an industrial setting.
• Journeyman license preferred.
• Experience with 480V AC motor control circuits.
• PLC installation/troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Experience running and bending rigid conduit.

Responsibilities

• Run conduit, wiring, disconnects, switches, panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and terminations.
• Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems including motor control circuits.
• Troubleshoot wiring layouts and circuit routing.
• Operate forklifts/scissor lifts as required.
• Read and maintain mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
• Safely use electrical testing equipment.

Job Role

The Shop Electrician is a key member of our manufacturing team, handling installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for refrigeration equipment. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret engineering schematics. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturdays. Reports to the VP of Manufacturing.

Key Duties

• Run conduit and wiring; hook up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations
• Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair electrical systems including medium/high voltage automation systems and motor control circuits
• Troubleshoot wiring system layouts and circuit routing
• Operate forklifts and/or scissor lifts as required
• Read and maintain mechanical/electrical engineering drawings and schematics
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors
• Troubleshoot electrical problems on all refrigeration equipment
• Assist in general construction duties
• Safely and properly use electrical testing equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an industrial setting; Journeyman license preferred
• Experience running and bending rigid conduit (up to at least 4 inches)
• Knowledge of three-phase motors
• Experience with 480v AC motor control circuits preferred
• PLC installation and troubleshooting experience preferred
