Job summary

Long Branch Public Schools seeks an Electrician for the 2026-2027 school year to perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with local and national codes. The role reports to the Buildings & Grounds Manager and the Assistant Business Administrator for Facilities.

Requirements include a valid New Jersey electrician license, experience in commercial or industrial electrical work, and a strong understanding of NEC.

Qualifications

• Valid Electrician License (State of New Jersey) is required.
• Proven experience in commercial, or industrial electrical work.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues in facilities and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical systems are safe and operating efficiently. Collaborate with staff, contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Advise on cost-effective and code-compliant electrical solutions.
• May assist with planning and estimating future electrical needs.
