Job summary

ASM Global-SMG is seeking a Building Electrician for the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. The ideal candidate will maintain and repair electrical systems, ensure the safety and efficiency of operations, and possess a strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.

The successful applicant should have a high school diploma, relevant electrical training, and 2-4 years of electrician experience. The role requires flexibility to work all shifts as needed.

Job description

POSITION: Building Electrician

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Building Electrician at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center & Entertainment Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems (120/208v, 120/240v, and 277/480v) and lighting systems.
• Provide temporary power for food and beverage operations.
• Distribute show power for certain events.
• Perform commercial/industrial electrical work, including M & R of all electrical systems.
• Install receptacles, lighting fixtures, and change ballasts and lamps.
• Assist other departments as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus successful completion of a classroom electrical program or on‑job electrical training.
• 2–4 years of electrician work experience.
• Knowledge of safe work practices, OSHA regulations, electrical codes, and proper use of tools, techniques, and equipment.
• Ability to work all shifts as needed: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic tools used in the electrical trade.

PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The job is exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
