Job summary

Merrell Bros., Inc. Indiana Division is seeking an Electrician to perform skilled electrical work including installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in an industrial setting.

Ideal candidates will work with NEC standards, use hand and power tools, and troubleshoot motor controls, PLCs and drives. Travel up to 5% nationwide; benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, life/AD&D, direct deposit pay, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the electrical field in an industrial environment preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willing to obtain Class B or higher.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work for installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds in accordance with NEC and standard practices.
• Check and replace faulty switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures, tubes and ballasts.
• Inspect and test electrical lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
• Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electric equipment.
• Measure, cut, and install electrical conduit.
• Troubleshoot and repair motor controls, PLCs, and variable speed drives; maintain control boxes and PLCs.
• Maintain and repair motors and starters; replace parts as needed.
• Travel up to 5% nationwide; maintain safe, orderly work environment.
