Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Electrician – Maintenance/Installer to install, maintain and repair electrical systems across social housing properties based in Kettering and Corby. The role focuses on safety, compliance with industry standards, and high-quality workmanship.

Key requirements include 18th edition, Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent), and 2391, plus a full UK driving licence and your own tools. The position offers 37 hours per week with out-of-hours call-out as part of the rota.

Qualifications

• Must have 18th edition, Level 3 NVQ or equivalent, and 2391.
• Proven experience as an Electrician within the social housing sector is essential.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle if possible (mileage at 45p/mile).
• Own standard power tools required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and fault finding within occupied social housing properties.
• Fault finding, testing, and remedial works.
• Some rewire works required in voids.
• Ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and health & safety standards.
• Participation in out-of-hours call-out required (1 full week every 4 weeks) with standby payment paid whether called out or not.
