Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking an Electrician to maintain and repair electrical equipment in production areas, and troubleshoot PLCs to ensure uninterrupted operations. You will perform preventative maintenance and work with engineering on upgrades while adhering to all safety policies.

The role requires basic PLC knowledge (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), wiring, and panel work, with a focus on safe, efficient manufacturing practices. This position is on-site with shift flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant trade training.
  • 1–2 years experience in a related field.
  • Basic PLC hardware/software knowledge.
  • Ability to read diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment in production areas.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs using ladder diagrams.
  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance.
