Job summary

CAM Industrial Solutions is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join a team of professionals focused on safety and continuous improvement. The role involves reading blueprints, planning material needs, and performing electrical installations in an industrial setting.

You will determine tools required, identify risks, and work to minimize hazards while maintaining equipment and systems. Qualified candidates bring 4+ years in industrial construction/maintenance and may have NCEER certification.

Qualifications

• Industrial construction/maintenance experience, min 4 years.
• NCEER certification preferred.
• Ability to fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, EMT, PVC conduit.
• Ability to use mechanical and hydraulic benders for 2"–4" conduit.
• Wire and cable installation by hand, machine, or in trays.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using hand/power tools.
• Install control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and panels, securing with crews or bolts.
• Test circuit continuity and safety with ohmmeter, oscilloscope, and other instruments.
• Observe system operation to identify hazards and determine adjustments or replacements.
• Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.

Position Summary

Responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks and identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules, and conduit benders
• Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with crews or bolts using hand or power tools
• Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
• Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
• NCEER Certified (Preferred)
• Ability to fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, E.M.T., plastic-bond, and P.V.C. conduit
• Ability to use mechanical benders; use hydraulic benders 2” – 4”; fabricate and install conduit supports
• Ability to do wire and cable installation by hand, by machine, and in cable trays.
