Job summary

PTC is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to oversee inspection, repair, installation and wiring of electrical apparatus in the plant. You will troubleshoot AC/DC drives, PLCs, sensors and controls, read wiring diagrams, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

The role requires strong electrical knowledge, 4+ years of experience or Journeyman card, and a focus on safety in a manufacturing environment. Competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus are included.

• High school diploma or GED or vocational certificate required.
• 4+ years electrical experience or Electrical Journeyman card preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and wiring diagrams accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install and wire all electrical devices and circuits up to plant voltage.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC motor drives, PLCs, sensors, and related controls.
• Interpret drawings and wiring diagrams to locate faults and perform repairs.
• Isolate circuits, replace faulty parts, and conduct temporary or permanent fixes as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to quality procedures per the QM system.
• Communicate clearly with supervision and maintenance teams on status.

We offer the following:FREE HealthcareHSA optionDentalVisionLife Insurance401K plan with company matchDependent & Spouse Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)$1,000 Sign on Bonus / Paid in two equal installments (after probationary period and remaining paid after reaching one year of service)Referral BonusAnnual college scholarship available for children & grandchildren of PTC employeesJob Summary:This position oversees inspects, repairs, installs and wires all electrical apparatus devices and circuits of any voltage in the plant or assigned area.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Observes all safety regulations.Receives instructions from Maintenance Foreman covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installations and inspection work to be done.Communicates details of work with supervision to affect the most logical approach to the job.Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical principles, wiring, specification, codes, proportions of various material and principals of operation and application of equipment.Analyze all types of drawings and wiring diagrams to locate, install and repair all electrical apparatus, devices, circuits, etc.Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, adjust assemblies and lubricate electrical equipment taking all safety precautions.Isolate circuits, dismantle, inspect, repair and adjust or replace faulty parts and wiring on power feeds and equipment.Locate the source of trouble and make either temporary or permanent repairs as required to equipment.Troubleshoot, repair and replace all AC and DC motor drives, programmable logic controllers, sensors, and analog devices assisting plant Electrical Engineers.Using a laptop PC login and communicating with processors in PLC racks, monitor variables, upload software and force logic as necessary to troubleshoot.Repair and configure radio controls and transmitters for overhead cranes and locomotives.Consider all safety precautions and proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations.Inspects, oils and drains oil from air reservoir and reports mechanical failures of air compressors.Repair mechanical breakdowns on overhead cranes.The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers.
