Job summary

Elite Contracting Group is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for our VA Beach, VA location to join a growing full-service security solution integration company. You will work on electrical, technology installations, CCTV, and access control across Virginia.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman license and at least two years of electrical trade experience, with 480V knowledge and DCJS registration readiness. The role requires physical activity and outbound travel within-state.

Qualifications

• Requires current Journeyman Electrician license and regulatory compliance.
• Minimum two years of electrical trade experience.
• Experience working with voltages up to 480V.
• Experience installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting/power systems.
• Familiarity with electrical construction practices including threading, bending conduit, and pulling/removing wire.
• Ability to possess and maintain a DCJS Registration.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain raceways, wiring, and equipment for electrical systems, access controls, intrusion detection, and other systems.
• Inspects, tests, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communications, and power circuits.
• Identify, communicate, and isolate electrical hazards.
• Follow safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to identify, communicate, and isolate electrical hazard
• Performs all work following safety procedures; Other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Skills

• Current Journeyman Electrician license
• Minimum two years experience in the electrical trade
• Experience working with voltages up to 480v
• Experience installing and maintaining wiring, control, and lighting/power systems
• Familiarity with electrical construction practices including threading, bending conduit, and pulling/removing wire
• Ability to possess and maintain a DCJS Registration
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds
• This position includes occasional in-state travel

Anticipated Hiring Range

$25 - $30 per hour with guaranteed hours, including overtime.
