Job summary

Brunswick, a global marine leader, is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Electrician (3rd Shift) in Fond du Lac, WI. You will install, program, troubleshoot, and document electrical and control systems in a heavy manufacturing setting, including PLCs, robotics, and automation equipment.

You will diagnose issues, wire complex machines, and train apprentices while upholding safety and continuous improvement standards. This role works onsite on the 3rd shift with a starting pay of $43.77 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid state-registered Journeyman Electrician card or 8+ years in electrical trade in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, DeviceNet, RFID, robots, and Mazak CNC machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with limited supervision.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician (3rd Shift), you will provide intermediate-level expertise in installing, programming, troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting the electrical and controls systems that support process and production equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role is critical to maintaining operational uptime and ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. You will work with a variety of complex electrical systems, including PLCs, robotics, and automated equipment, while supporting continuous improvement and team-based maintenance efforts.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain , and repair manufacturing process and production machines, including robots and automation equipment
• Work with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V AC, including control circuits, instrumentation devices, PLCs/ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drives
• Work from and read electrical and electronic schematic drawings
• Layout, install, and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment
• Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire circuits having a large number of units and connections
• Completely lay out and/or wire a relocated, new, or rebuilt machine
• Diagnose, remove, replace, and periodically maintain electrical motors
• Utilize knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, DeviceNet , RFID systems, robots, and Mazak CNC machinery
• Ability to work and positively contribute in a team environment
• Train, instruct, guide, and support apprentices in the development of skills and abilities
• Perform all work according to company safety policies, recognized industry standards, and safe work practices at all times

Required Qualifications

• Valid state-registered Journeyman Electrician card or a minimum of 8 years documented experience in the electrical trade in a manufacturing environment
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, DeviceNet , RFID systems, robots, and Mazak CNC machinery
• Ability to use the equipment common to the electrician trade
• Ability to work with limited or no supervision
• Ability to train, instruct, guide, and supervise apprentices
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Ability to work 3rd shift as required

This position offers a pay rate of $43.77 per hour. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
