Job summary

All American Facility Maintenance in Sunrise, FL is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support field teams in delivering client services. You will install, test, and maintain electrical systems, and diagnose issues under varying conditions.

The role requires your own tools, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety codes. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical experience and proficiency with voltmeters and oscilloscopes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have your own tools and be a self-starter and able to work on your own.
• Need a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical work.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools and read electrical drawings/blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and codes.
• Ability to work under varying conditions and environments.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems and locates causes of breakdowns using test equipment.
• Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspects systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Advises management on hazardous equipment operation.
• Tests electrical systems and circuits for safety and compatibility.
• Plans layout and installation based on job specs and local codes.
• Assists department with various tasks.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Summary/Objective:

The Electrical Technician assumes a high level of responsibility early, supporting our field teams in their delivery of client services. Successful Electrical Technicians are fast learners and self-motivated, independent workers. They must have the ability to work under pressure and the willingness to work in varying conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Assists department in various tasks and or assignments

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company
• Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
• Ability to observe all company procedures and safety rules
• Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction

Additional Skills Desired:

• Journeyman license preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a trade/vocational school is preferred but not required.
