Position Overview

As an active member of the production team on the plant floor, the Electrician (Master or Journeyman) will support daily production activities at our three‑piece can manufacturing operation. The role involves troubleshooting equipment to keep the line productive. Crown offers a starting wage of $40.95–$46.23 per hour plus shift differential, 401 K, stock purchase plan, pension, tuition reimbursement, and company‑paid medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance.

Job Responsibilities

Master Electrician

• Supervise and approve all electrical work done by electricians and journeymen.
• Sign off on all electrical work in the facility.

Journeyman Electrician

• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems, machinery, and building equipment, including 480 V 3‑phase power and control systems.
• Apply knowledge of AC/DC power supplies, 3‑phase, single phase, generators, PLC and electronic equipment.
• Use electronic or electrical testing equipment.
• Maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and prints.
• Apply electronic/electrical codes.
• Assist in the installation and upgrade of plant equipment.
• Conduct process checks as required.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to maintain the fire alarm system.
• Maintain cleanliness of the electrical shop and job sites while practicing safety procedures.
• Assist and support other production floor operations as required.
• Complete administrative tasks including logbooks, data entry, jumper logs, and record keeping.
• Meet all other duties and responsibilities as a Crown Cork & Seal team member.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must have the appropriate state of Minnesota license.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and parts specifications.
