Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, diagnose issues, and provide effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components, including lighting, wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform urgent repairs to ensure safety and operational continuity.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations and report findings, recommending improvements or repairs when necessary.
  • Collaborate with facility management to implement energy‑saving initiatives and ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
  • Install and test new electrical systems, equipment, and machinery as required by facility needs.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations to ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and other facility systems when necessary.

  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and climbing ladders.
  • Basic knowledge of other facility systems such as HVAC and plumbing is a plus.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an apprenticeship or electrical trade school preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrician, preferably in a facilities or industrial setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (temperature fluctuations, outdoor work, etc.).
Work Environment
