Job summary

Worley in Texas seeks an experienced electrical technician to read blueprints, determine materials, and identify tools and safety precautions for industrial projects.

You will install conduit, control panels, test circuits for safety, and repair equipment, contributing to efficient, safe operations on site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
  • NCEER Certified (written or performance verified).
  • Ability to fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, EMT, plastic-bond, and PVC conduit.
  • Ability to use mechanical benders; use hydraulic benders 2” – 4”; fabricate and install conduit supports.
  • Ability to do wire and cable installation by hand, by machine, and in cable trays.

Responsibilities

  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using tools like hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels, and fastens in place with crews or bolts.
  • Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety using instruments such as ohmmeter and oscilloscope.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
