Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for an Electrician to join our team in the Alpharetta, GA area. The Electrician position plans layout, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment.

Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently. Essential Qualifications include a High school diploma or equivalent, 1–4 years of experience in the field, knowledge of electrical tools, and NCCER

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of experience in the electrician field (level dependent).
• Knowledge of electrician's tools and how to use them.
• Working on or above 600V or 69kV distribution systems requires qualification.
• NCCER certification for A-class Electricians is commonly required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acceptance.
• Comply with safety requirements for company and client sites.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste and enable future maintenance.
• Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to install concealed wiring.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
• Pull wiring through conduit and splices.
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Install control and distribution equipment such as switches and panels.
• Connect power cables and install grounding leads.
• Test circuit continuity for safety and compatibility.
• Observe equipment operation and determine adjustments or replacements as needed.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

Essential Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Knowledge of electrician's tools and how to use them
• Working on or above 600V or 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification
• Most job sites require NCCER certification for A-class Electricians
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements

• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, Provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring
• Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit
• Pulls wiring through conduit
• Splices wires
• Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
• Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels
• Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads
• Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
• May repair faulty equipment or systems
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Physical Involvement

• May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
• maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions
