Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD seeks an Electrical Engineering Technician to perform functional, electrical, and continuity testing on cable harnesses and electro‑mechanical assemblies. You will verify performance against specifications and ensure workmanship meets drawing and industry standards.

You will use multimeters, hipot testers, oscilloscopes, and automated test systems, document results, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve test processes and ensure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, cable harness drawings and engineering documentation.
• Foundational understanding of basic electricity (voltage, current, resistance).
• Experience performing continuity, resistance and functional electrical tests.
• Familiarity with hand tools and test tools for cable harness inspection.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and follow safety/ESD guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, electrical, and continuity testing on cable harnesses, electronic subassemblies, and electro‑mechanical hardware.
• Use test equipment (multimeters, hipot testers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, automated test systems) to verify performance against specs.
• Interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams to execute test procedures accurately.
• Validate workmanship of cable harnesses, connectors, terminations, routing and labeling per standards.
• Document test results and maintain accurate logs and configuration tracking.
• Identify and elevate non-conformances; support root-cause analyses with engineering and quality teams.
• Assist with test fixture setup, calibration checks, and basic equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to improve material flow and address test issues.
