Job summary

Keenfinity Group in Fairport, NY seeks a co-op engineer to develop and execute testing for security product lines, from hardware to firmware. You will analyze test requirements, document cases, and work with engineers to verify design and manufacturing processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and test coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 1+ years of mechanical/electrical/software or RF design testing experience.
• 1+ years of software testing methods including automated tests for electronics/firmware.
• 1+ years of using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
• Detail oriented with strong analytical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Test solution development and execution.
• Work with customers to analyze and document test needs.
• Identify test strategies meeting project requirements.
• Assist in development of electrical, electromechanical and software testing platforms.
• Ensure test documentation, drawings, schematics, and parts lists are current.
• Collaborate to develop and execute test plans and analyze results.
• Design and evaluate repeatability and reliability studies.
• Troubleshoot with product/test equipment and propose improvements.

Job Description

Responsible for development and execution ofsolutions for engineering integrationverification andmanufacturing functional verificationofnew and existing security products. Individual willparticipatein a structured product development processanalyzing requirements for testability, documenting test cases,developingand executing test procedures, analyzing testdata,documentingand communicatingstatus and results to the project team.

• Test Solution Development & Execution.
• Work with internal/external customers toanalyze and document testneeds.
• Identifyand propose test strategies that meetprojecttechnicaland timingrequirements.
• Assistin development of electrical, electromechanical and software platforms tofacilitatetesting.
• Ensure test andtest tooling/equipment documentation are current andaccurate. Includingrequired test procedures,mechanical drawings,schematics,and parts list results.
• Verification& Troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineers and test team to develop and execute test plan,analyzeand documentresults.
• Design execute & evaluate results of repeatability & reliabilitystudies.
• Troubleshoot problems with product & test equipment performance, propose and implementimprovements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Associate'sdegree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering orEngineering Technology.
• 1+years experiencein mechanical, electrical, software or RF designtesting fromprofessional work and/or co=op/internshipexperience.
• 1+ years of software testingmethodsand strategies, including automated test methodologies for electronics and firmwareembeddedproducts.
• 1+ years of experience in using testequipment: oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrumanalyzers, networkanalyzers,signalgenerators.
• Familiarity with equipmentcalibration processes.
• Detail oriented,Strong analyticalaptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Experience with test automation & scripting languagesusing tools suchasLabVIEW.
• Experience withTestCompleteorTestStand, or relatedplatforms.

Additional Information

The U.S. hourly rate for this co-op position is $25.00-$26.00 per hour. per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.

In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group's (US) Health and Welfare Benefit Plans—including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance—as well as the company’s 401(k) plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the respective plan documents. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Keenfinity Group’s paid time off and sick leave programs in accordance with applicable policies.
