Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Startup Electrical Test Engineer to support the Uranium Processing Facility project at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on electrical test validation, work package development, and turnover coordination to ensure safe, compliant startup operations.

The candidate will plan and execute CSU activities, manage material and QS data, and perform quality checks in alignment with project design and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NS&E Bechtel startup procedures and processes.
• Experience as Bechtel startup electrical test engineer or support.
• NFPA-70E knowledge with DOE/NQA-1 experience for an Operational Readiness Review.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate startup configuration validation and work package development.
• Plan CSU execution activities and resource requirements.
• Prepare Startup Work Packages and Test Work Packages for assigned areas.
• Coordinate CSU turnover walkdowns with Field Engineer.
• Manage field purchases and quantity takeoffs for CSU.
• Coordinate system/configuration walkdowns and testing per specs.
