Job summary

Akkodis in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 6-month contract to support design, integration, testing, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and electro‑mechanical systems.

The role blends hands-on hardware work with software-based test and automation tools to enable system verification, data acquisition, and continuous improvement. Bachelor’s in EE and 0–2 years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, laboratory, or test engineering environments.
• Ability to read, interpret, and update electrical schematics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, integration, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic test equipment and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical systems, identifying and resolving hardware and software-related issues.
• Interpret, modify, and redline electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Support system integration, verification, and validation testing activities.
• Configure and maintain instrumentation, data acquisition hardware, sensors, controls, and communication interfaces.
• Develop, modify, or maintain software tools used for test automation, data acquisition, and system control.
• Maintain configuration control of software, test procedures, and engineering documentation.
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work under the guidance of senior engineers.
