Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking Electrical Test Engineers to join our Groton, CT team. You will work on power distribution equipment and propulsion plant control systems, developing solutions and procedures for shipyard execution, with opportunities for remote work depending on classified material interactions.

The role requires effective communication, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and willingness to support shipyard operations including deck-plate activity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience with electrical power equipment (switchboards, inverters, converters, cables, breakers, transformers).
• Experience with military equipment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems or equipment preferred.
• Experience with Navy electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to operational and test issues regarding power distribution equipment and propulsion plant control equipment.
• Develop troubleshooting strategies and write procedures for shipyard execution.
• Provide deck-plate support in a shipyard environment.
• Communicate effectively and work within a high performing, multi-disciplinary team.

D451 VIRGINIA Waterfront Engineering is looking for electrical test engineers to join our power distribution team. Responsibility includes developing solutions to operational and test issues regarding power distribution equipment and propulsion plant control equipment. In addition to technical knowledge of circuit breakers, switchboards, and electronic and analog control systems, the job requires the ability to develop troubleshooting strategies and write procedures for shipyard execution. The job also requires deck-plate support in a shipyard environment.

The successful candidate must communicate effectively and work within a high performing, multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a personal desire to learn, grow, and excel within the organization.

The occasional need for off-shift overtime and watchbill support is required with this position.
