Job summary

Fluke Electronics, a Fortive company, is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to analyze, develop, and maintain calibration/test methods for new and existing products. You will own key operations KPIs like quality, delivery, and productivity while driving improvements and supporting career growth.

You will lead test-system improvements, work with design on production capabilities, and ensure hardware/software test validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuitry; RF knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to handle high pressure, prioritize workload and meet goals.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., .NET, LabVIEW, Python, VB).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and improve test systems throughout the factory.
• Drive quality through root cause countermeasures.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices to improve metrics.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through redesign and supplier relationships.
• Advise design engineering on production capabilities and equipment.
• Specify hardware requirements for test systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical I/O and boards.
• Implement design changes per product requirements.
• Validate test stations using software and hardware.
• Provide technical assistance for hardware/software debugging.
• Review test results and analyze data to improve yields.

Description :

As an Electrical Test Engineer with Fluke Electronics, you will be tasked with analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for calibration/test of new and existing products. You will be a major contributor to and owner of key performance indicators in Operations, including: 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. You will be empowered to make decisions, drive improvements, and have plenty of opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain and improve test systems throughout the factory.
• Drive quality through internal and external root cause countermeasure of failures.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices to drive internal and external metrics (quality, cost, innovation).
• Identify and drive cost saving opportunities through redesign and supplier relationships.
• Advise design engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities and standard practices to contribute to the development of new designs.
• Specify all hardware requirements for tests systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical I/O, communication boards for various stations.
• Implement design changes for existing stations as per product requirements.
• Validate test stations using software and hardware.
• Provide technical assistance for hardware and software debugging.
• Review test results and analyze test data from database and improve yields.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or higher from an ABET accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Good understanding of analog and digital based circuitry, RF knowledge is a plus. Leadership experience within a team, project or job desired.
• Ability to handle high pressures, prioritize workload and understand impact of duties required.
• Respond to metric/goal driven environment, take initiative to meet goals.
• Knowledge in programing languages. i.e. .NET, LabView, Python, VB, etc.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving methodology.
• Data analysis and statistical understanding.
