Job summary

Schleifring North America & Electro-Miniatures in Chelmsford, MA is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to thoroughly verify materials, procedures, and electrical systems to deliver high-quality, functional products. You will run tests on components and features to identify and fix issues, ensuring customers receive reliable solutions.

Responsibilities include developing test methods, maintaining test instructions, and collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering to address non-conformances.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods that meet requirements outlined in governing design specifications.
• Write and maintain revision-controlled test instructions for all inspection operations.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Test Technicians to analyze non-conformances from inspection.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Test Technicians to record non-conformances in SAP system on Qnotes and disposition as required.
• Lead a recurring RCCA meeting for internal factory (Q3) Qnotes.
• Manage calibration of measurement equipment with outside calibration vendors.
• Responsible for introduction of new measurement equipment such as ATE’s.
• Perform gage R & R and MSA of measurement equipment as required.
• Support customer Source Inspection as required.
• Support customer audits as required.
• Work with Quality Manager to perform internal audits.
• Work with Quality Manager to develop quality control plans for all product lines.
• Work with Quality Manager to support Design Reviews (CDR's, PDR's and FDR's).

Summary

Qualifications and Skills

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Citizen, Green Card).
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certified QMS desired.
• Experience with ERP system such as SAP desired.
• Experience with best-practice industry tools such as RCCA, CAPA, PFMEA, 8D Analysis, DMAIC and SPC desired.
• Must be familiar with Windows and Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
• Must have experience reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Must have experience with electrical inspection tools and equipment such as ATE, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, function generators, multimeters, hipot testers, etc.
• Must be willing to adapt this job responsibilities as needed.
