Job summary

Arctic Air, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, diagnose and repair electrical systems for residential and commercial customers in New Jersey.

The role requires safety-minded, customer-focused workmanship and strong communication skills. You will work on panels, EV chargers, lighting upgrades, and preventive maintenance, ensuring code compliance and reliability. A minimum of 3 years’ experience and a valid license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of electrical service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• State Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred; valid driver's license.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, panels, load calculations.
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards; PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Professional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and other electrical components.
• Installations: Perform new circuit installations, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, EV chargers, and other system enhancements.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, load testing, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure code compliance.
• Safety & Code Compliance: Follow NEC, NFPA, and company safety standards; ensure all work passes inspections and meets local codes.
• Documentation: Complete service tickets accurately, including materials used, time, and detailed notes on work performed.
• Customer Service: Communicate clearly with customers, explain repair options, and provide recommendations to improve system performance or safety.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Equipment Care: Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working order.
