Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) seeks an Electrical Worker to maintain and repair electrical fixtures and systems in support of the Uniformed Services University Facilities department.

Responsibilities include wiring, testing, and troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and assisting in complex systems maintenance. On-call rotation may require after-hours work at times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs electrical wiring, controls, equipment and fixtures.
• Repairs or replaces broken wiring, switches, relays, fixtures, bulbs and tubes.
• Works from layouts, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and instructions.
• Assists in maintenance and repair of complex systems, circuits, panels and control boards.
• Uses test equipment (test lamps, voltmeters, ammeters, polarity testers) to locate malfunctions.
• Installs and repairs electrical motors, generators, fans, sterilizers, lamps and equipment.
• Participates in on-call rotation and may work evenings/weekends/holidays.
