Job summary

Nabors in Williston, ND seeks an Electrical Technician II to perform diversified assembly tasks including box terminations, service loop installation, crimping, and calibration.   • Schedules and organizes work tasks for subordinates (level 1 tech).
  • Assists higher level electricians using drawings and schematics.
  • Assists in parts fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding, crimping, and inspecting; reports changes.

Job Description

The Electrical Technician II will accurately and efficiently perform diversified tasks relating to product assembly, to include box terminations, service loop installation and termination, crimping of all terminations, point to point testing of components, calibration of boards or meters, testing of completed assemblies such as control consoles.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma and 3-5 years related work experience.
  • Formal training in Electrical or Electronics is an asset.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand basic drawings and bills of material.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging, and an all-around general knowledge of computer operations is advantageous. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

  • Assist in activities such as parts fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding crimping, and inspecting Initials changes through approved mechanisms and report changes
  • Able to track changes and report changes Inspect all equipment used and perform preventive maintenance checks and services
  • Overtime as required to meet customer delivery schedules
  • Other duties may be assigned
