Job summary

Tyonek Native Corp in Warner Robins, GA is seeking an experienced Electronic Assembler to perform SMT soldering, through-hole soldering, wire termination, and cable harness installation into chassis and modules. The role requires reading wiring diagrams and drawings, 2–5 years of assembly experience, and the ability to obtain IPC-620 and J-STD certifications.

You will ensure quality workmanship in a lean manufacturing environment and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in electronic assembly.
• Cable harness build experience both crimp and solder.
• Soldering experience.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings and related instructions.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality control and cost optimization.
• Ability to obtain/maintain IPC-620 and J-STD certifications.
• General computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, and other electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Manufactures electronic/electrical circuitry, components (CCA's), and wiring harnesses per drawings, ECOs, customer specs, and process instructions.
• Captures as-built information for development of technical data packages for design/build and prototype efforts.
• Procures tools, parts, and consumables to avoid production delays.
• Checks stock for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the run.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment per company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Under general supervision, performs electronic assembly operations such as SMT soldering and repairs, through hole soldering and repairs, wire termination, cable harness assembly and cable harness installation into chassis and modules.

DUTIES

• Assembles electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, and other electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Manufactures electronic/electrical circuitry, electronic components (CCA's), and wiring harnesses according to Drawings, Engineering Changes, Customer Specifications, and Process Instructions (P.I.).
• For design/build and prototype efforts, capture as built information (ie. notes, sketches, pictures) for use in the development of technical data packages.
• Procure the necessary tools, parts, and consumables for all assembly application to avoid loss or delay of production time.
• Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners, for the particular run.
• Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Education/Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience.
• Cable harness build experience both crimp and solder.
• Soldering experience.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret oral and written instructions, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, engineering instructions and associated documentation pertaining to the electrical manufacturing process.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Ability to obtain/maintain IPC-620 and J-STD certifications.
• General Computer skills.
• Must be able to read and write English.
