Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services in Smithfield, VA is seeking an Electrician I to join the Facilities Management team. The role focuses on electrical maintenance and repair while supporting general facility upkeep on a Monday–Friday schedule with a rotating on-call duty.

Willing candidates will perform lighting work, install electrical components, and ensure safety and code compliance. A valid journeyman license and ability to read diagrams are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Electrical Journeyman License is required.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Physical ability for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and extended standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and repair work throughout the facility.
• Replace and repair lighting components, including bulbs, ballasts, and LED fixtures.
• Install and repair electrical outlets and other components as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues safely and efficiently.
• Complete preventive maintenance and routine facility inspections.
• Support general maintenance repairs and building upkeep.
• Respond to on-call maintenance needs as part of a rotating schedule.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and electrical codes.
