Job summary

Maeser in Louisville, now part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, a State Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred, and a clean driving record.

You will work safely to code, follow NEC/NFPA 70E, and communicate effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• / Minimum of 3 years electrical service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• / Licensing: State Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• / Technical skills: Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, panels, load calculations, grounding/bonding, and low‑voltage systems.
• / Safety: OSHA and NFPA 70E standards; PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, panels, switches, outlets, lighting, and other electrical components.
• Installations: Perform new circuit installations, lighting upgrades, panel replacements, EV chargers, and other system enhancements.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, load testing, and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure code compliance.
• Safety & Code Compliance: Follow NEC, NFPA, and company safety standards; ensure all work passes inspections and meets local codes.
• Documentation: Complete service tickets accurately, including materials used, time, and detailed notes on work performed.
• Customer Service: Communicate clearly with customers, explain repair options, and provide recommendations to improve system performance or safety.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Equipment Care: Maintain company tools, testing equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working order.
