Qualifications

  • Hands-on testing and calibration of EMC equipment.
  • Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and procedures.
  • Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 calibrations is helpful.
  • Full-time on-site in Burr Ridge, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Test and verify electronic test equipment using oscilloscopes and meters.
  • Perform ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibrations on company-owned and customer equipment.
  • Check equipment in and out of inventory.
  • Follow established verification and calibration procedures.
  • Help develop and improve equipment verification procedures.
  • Review technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues.
  • Respond to customer questions about equipment setup and operation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, calibration, and shipping records.
  • Prepare and package equipment for domestic and international shipments.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving when needed.
  • Collaborate with team and external staff to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will help ensure that equipment is functional, properly documented, calibrated, and ready for customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Testing and verifying electronic test equipment using oscilloscopes, meters, and other measurement devices
  • Performing ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibrations on company‑owned and customer equipment
  • Checking equipment in and out of inventory
  • Following established verification and calibration procedures
  • Helping develop and improve equipment verification procedures
  • Reviewing technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation
  • Troubleshooting equipment and resolving technical issues
  • Responding to customer questions about equipment setup and operation
  • Maintaining accurate inventory, calibration, and shipping records
  • Preparing and packaging equipment for domestic and international shipments
  • Assisting with shipping and receiving when needed
  • Collaborating with the team and external customer‑support staff to resolve customer issues
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and quality‑focused work environment
  • Completing additional technical and operational responsibilities as needed
What We’re Looking For

  • A strong understanding of electricity and fundamental electrical engineering principles
  • Hands‑on experience or training involving electrical equipment, electronics, maintenance, calibration, or testing
  • Ability to use common electrical measurement and test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Careful attention to detail and documentation
  • Commitment to safety, quality standards, and established procedures
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
  • Ability to work effectively with technical, operations, and customer‑support teams
  • Relevant technical education or professional experience in electrical technology, electronics, engineering technology, or a related field
  • Ability to lift and handle test equipment as required
  • Availability to work full‑time on‑site in Burr Ridge, Illinois

Experience with EMC testing, electronic test equipment, calibration, or ISO/IEC 17025 requirements is helpful but not required.
