Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Traveling Electrical Technician to service commercial/industrial sites across Arizona and surrounding states. This long-term contract role requires residential travel, with reimbursement for mileage and a company vehicle after conversion to permanent status.

You will be paid $35–$50 per hour, with paid drive time and hotel arrangements provided by the client. The position demands licensed expertise, ability to read blueprints, and experience as a lead/foreman.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician (state level) is required.
• Experience as Lead or Foreman electrician.
• Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician background.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems and install updates.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and install new wiring or components.
• Oversee training for co-workers as needed.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines and daily deliverables.
• Conduct tests to ensure installed systems are operational and meet codes.
• Adhere to safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
• Read blueprints and understand SOW documents.

Job Title: Traveling Electrical Technician
Location: Arizona and surrounding states
Duration: Long term contract, potential contract to hire

Hourly Pay Rate: Between $35 to $50 per hour (depends on experience)

• Must like traveling and being a road warrior.
• After 30 minutes/30 miles, .73cent a mile & Paid Drive Time (Hourly Rate)
• You will drive your own vehicle and get reimbursed for mileage. Drive time is also provided.
• Potential to convert to FTE after 720 hours and will get a company vehicle at the time of conversion to perm.

• My client will book your hotel and offer $45 a day for food

Job Description:

• Inspect and test electrical components to diagnose problems, repair broken electrical components, and install updates for outdated electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and install new wiring or other components to fix lighting, fuse boxes, and generators.
• Oversee training for co-workers as needed.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines and daily deliverables (i.e. pictures, signed checklists, As-Built, etc.).
• Resolve conflict while maintaining positive relationships at all levels.
• Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed electrical systems and component devices are operational.
• Ensure electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
• Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
• Maintain the company's high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior and appearance.
• Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician at the state level is required.
• Experience as a Lead or Forman electrician.
• Experience as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician.
• Based on our clients needs you could be home or traveling on the road for 1-3 weeks at a time throughout the region.
• Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as the job requires.
• Ability to read blueprints and comprehend SOW documents.
• Dependable - must show up to work on time daily.
• Knowledge of industry standards and current NEC requirements.
• Safety conscious, follow all applicable PPE guidelines.
• Has basic hand tools and PPE.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coach, motivate and mentor field staff
• Self-motivated, career-minded, looking for a place with advancement opportunities.
• Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment.
• Proficient with the use of computers, including email, spreadsheets, and database Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, ect.
• Advance troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrate effective capability in problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Responsible for field deliverable's for each site (i.e. pictures, signed checklists, As-Built, etc.)
