Job summary

Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Technician for a 12-month contract in North Carolina to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility. You will assist with startup of electrical gear, read schematics, and perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across electrical systems.

The role is on site with shift, on-call and weekend coverage. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure reliable power distribution, including MV/LV switchgear, MCCs,

Responsibilities

• Assist with startup of electrical gear including MV/LV switchgear, MCCs, PDPs, UPS, and electrical panels.
• Support system walkdowns interfacing with electrical systems.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Assist with maintenance of switchgear, MCCs, PDPs, UPS, switchboards, power panels, VFDs, and motors.

Electrical Technician - US, North Carolina - 12 Month Contract

What you'll do:

• Assist with startup of all electrical gear to include Low and Medium Voltage switchgear, motor control center (MCCs), power distribution panel (PDPs), uninterruptible power supply (UPS), electrical panels, and end point equipment.
• Supports system walkdowns which interface with Electrical systems.
• Performs electrical maintenance activities in support of daily operation of the site such as conducting preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for all electrical systems.
• Assists with maintenance activities for switchgear (Low and Medium voltage), MCCs, PDPs, UPS systems, switchboards, power panels, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motors.

• Ability to read and interpret design schematics for electrical systems & equipment.
• Effective communication, both written and oral.
• Willingness to collaborate and demonstrate interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to support 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on-call and weekends.
