Job summary

Constellium Deutschland GmbH is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to support plant operations in Muscle Shoals, AL. You will troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLCs, maintain mill control systems, and handle electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

The role requires a Journeyman electrician or equivalent with required training hours, the ability to read drawings, and experience with computer-controlled systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of electrical maintenance in manufacturing
• Journeyman electrician or equivalent with 1080 program hours
• Ability to demonstrate Journeyman-level skills
• Experience reading drawings and documenting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic modifications
• Experience with computer-controlled systems

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLCs and related hardware
• Maintain and troubleshoot mill control systems, I/O schematics, motor controls on DC/AC and HV systems
• Perform routine preventative maintenance per schedule
• Interpret dimensional changes and measure with calipers, micrometers and rules
• Read drawings and document modifications to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Contribute to documentation and electronic schematics for electrical and fluid systems
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years electrical maintenance or 3 years with two-year degree; Journeyman certification required
• Demonstrate Journeyman-level skills and operate tools to install/repair components
• Layout, assemble, and wire components; sketch parts for fabrication

Job description

To assist plant operations in running efficient with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLCs and related hardware
• Be able to maintain and troubleshoot mill control systems, I/O schematics, motor control diagnostics on DC and AC, high voltage power systems 6900
• Perform routine preventative maintenance procedures as per scheduled
• Knowledge in Relay logic
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
• Ability to read and follow drawings and document / communicate all machine control modifications to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose the root cause of the problem
• Provide input for documentation and electronic versions of all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics including panel High School diploma or equivalent required with over 7 years of electrical maintenance in and manufacturing setting or a two- year Industrial Maintenance degree with 3 years or more of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be a Journeyman certified electrician or equivalent which will include providing documentation of 1080 program hours of industrial electrician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate skills at a Journeyman level.
• Perform layout, assembly, and wiring of component parts in installation, replacement and repair of systems and equipment; make sketches for fabrication of repair parts.

• High School diploma or equivalent required with over 5 years of electrical maintenance in and manufacturing setting or a two- year Industrial Maintenance degree with 3 years or more of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be a Journeyman certified electrician or equivalent which will include providing documentation of 1080 program hours of industrial electrician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate skills at a Journeyman level.
• Computers skills / computer operated control systems
• Use power saws, drills, hammers, presses and grinders, ovens, dip tanks, dynamic balancer, gas and electric welding and cutting equipment, dial indicators, rules, tapes, micrometers, squares, levels, flow and pressure meters, lubricating equipment, handling equipment such as jacks, hoists, cranes and trucks; hand and powered cleaning tools; hand tools common to the trade and P.C.
• Must be willing to work a rotating schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
