Job summary

Ardent Services, LLC seeks an Electrical Tech to install, modify and maintain low, medium and high voltage circuits (35kV and below) associated with power generation, distribution, motors, controls, lighting and grounding systems with minimal supervision.

The role entails hands-on work with electrical control systems, cables and devices, plus safety compliance (NEC/OSHA). Local candidates only; TWIC card holders preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must have valid TWIC card.
• Local to the area.
• Experience installing, modifying and maintaining electrical circuits (low to 35 kV).
• Familiarity with NEC and OSHA electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and modify electrical control systems.
• Terminate cables and install conductors.
• Install electrical devices such as light fixtures, transformers, disconnects, panels and start/stop stations.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits.
• Lead and mentor craft and apprentice personnel.
• Safely use electrical test equipment (multimeter, amp meter, megohmmeter, hipot).
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and confined spaces.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Installation and modification of electrical control systems.
• Installation and termination of single and multiple conductor cables.
• Installation of electrical devices such as light fixtures, transformers, disconnects, motor starters, distribution panels and start/stop stations.
• Test, trouble shoot and repair electrical circuits.
• Ability to lead and mentor craft and apprentice personnel.
• Safely use electrical test equipment such as a volt-ohm meter, amp meter, megohmmeter and Hy-Pot.
• Safe operation of hand and power tools such as band saws, drills, conduit threaders, hole punches and wire tuggers.
• Understanding and teaching capability in regard to properly packing and pouring seals.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices
• Knowledge of use, limitations and maintenance of all Personal Protective Equipment required for the assigned work.
• Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with working form elevated work areas and personnel lift equipment.
• Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with the assigned work including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Emergency Action Plans, Safe Work Permits, Incident Reporting, and Hazcom procedures.
