Who We're Looking For:
The Electrical Technician I is an entry‑level field position responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems supporting telecommunications and construction projects. This position works under the direction of experienced Electrical Technicians and/or an Electrical Foreman while developing the skills and knowledge needed to safely and effectively perform electrical work.

- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Assist with conduit installation, cable and wire pulls, grounding, bonding, terminations, and other electrical construction activities as assigned.
- Safely use basic hand tools, power tools, meters, and electrical equipment appropriate to assigned work and level of training.
- Assist with the installation of electrical equipment, panels, disconnects, raceways, grounding systems, and related components.
- Follow electrical drawings, construction plans, & specifications under supervision.
- Maintain familiarity with basic electrical materials, components, tools, and terminology.
- Perform basic measurements, material preparation, equipment setup, and site preparation.
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report damaged or unsafe equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all company, customer, OSHA, electrical, and jobsite safety requirements.
- Participate in jobsite safety meetings, pre-task planning, and required training.
- Assist other crew members and departments as necessary to complete assigned projects.
- Maintain dependable attendance and report to assigned jobsites prepared and on time.
- Complete required documentation, timekeeping, and company records accurately and timely.

DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work performed at significant heights, requiring ability and comfort with climbing towers, lifting heavy equipment, and working in elevated positions using climbing gear and safety equipment.
- This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate verbally with others on site, in person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs and directions, stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, climb with, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs, ladders and/ or towers; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around sites, in the air, or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner.
- Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment, and other tools within local, state, and federal safety guidelines.
- This position operates in a professional field environment. The position requires working outside, frequently for extended periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, wind and rain.
- While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air‑borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
EXPECTED POSITION HOURS
- This is a full‑time position. Overtime may be required as job duties demand, and with prior approval.
- Must be able to work weekends, overnight, out of the market or away from home and willingness to travel overnight as work demands.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous electrical, telecommunications, construction, or related field experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Dependable, safety‑conscious, and team‑oriented work habits.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability and willingness to learn electrical construction methods, terminology, materials, and equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a field crew.
- Follow instructions and established work procedures.
- Willingness to receive instruction, feedback, and additional training.
Certifications, Licenses, and other Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Mandatory possession of a current valid Driver’s License; CDL is advantageous.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to be covered by company auto Insurance.
- Successful completion and clearance of a pre‑employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00
