Job summary

KLA in Totowa, New Jersey seeks an Electrical Engineer with strong manufacturing and design skills to support production, testing, and fixture development. You will collaborate with suppliers, troubleshoot complex system-level issues, and help drive improvements across PCBs, harnesses, and enclosures.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Electrical Engineering (or Bachelor’s with relevant experience) and can manage multiple projects while traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree with related experience required (2 years).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system-level production issues and conduct failure analyses.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve component and yield problems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues with team members.
• Design cables/harnesses and work with subcomponents and pricing.
• Test PCB boards and electrical enclosures; debug as needed.
• Design fixtures to support production and maintain BOMs.
• Document assembly instructions and engineering changes.
• Manage multiple projects with timelines and independence.
• Know-how in PC/server builds, HW setups, or BIOS configurations.
• Work with RS232, Ethernet, and ECAT protocols.
• Utilize lab equipment: DVM, Megger, network analyzer, oscilloscope.
• Familiar with PCB layout tools (OrCAD, Deep Trace, Altium).
