Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the FBM program. You will lead cross-functional workshops, translate schedules into plans, and define system architecture with verifiable requirements.

You will coordinate with flight science groups for validation and drive interface control, integration, and testing activities. Qualified candidates bring 10+ years in aerospace/defense systems engineering, MBSE proficiency, and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and integration functions.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with system modeling and ICD development.
• Experience with design reviews and anomaly investigations.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional workshops to synchronize stakeholders and set clear expectations.
• Translate program schedules into actionable plans and ensure on-time delivery.
• Define system architecture and derive verifiable requirements.
• Coordinate flight science verification and root-cause investigations.
• Create interface control documents and manage hardware integration and test plans.
• Develop new mission functions while protecting the primary warhead mission integrity.
• Chair design, product, and safety reviews; ensure standards compliance.
• Lead anomaly investigations and drive closed-loop resolution.
• Provide systems expertise during production and test at manufacturing sites.
