Job summary

Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) in Vista, CA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team developing advanced X-ray based security equipment for border and transportation applications. Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience from R&D to production including specifications and documentation.
• Proficient in electrical machinery design and integration.
• Familiar with measurement and test equipment and a product development process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop next-generation X-ray security equipment.
• Design electrical circuits and systems for X-ray equipment, including data acquisition and power distribution.
• Perform sustaining engineering and address obsolescence and feature updates.
• Design PCBs, layout, fabrication, and assembly; produce documentation such as schematics and BOM.
• Troubleshoot designs at component level and perform root cause analysis.
• Work independently on smaller projects and present concepts and designs in reviews.
