Job summary

Veolia | North America is seeking an experienced engineer to provide instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems support. The role involves managing electrical projects and ensuring compliance with national standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of PLCs and safety management standards. A comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Working knowledge of various PLC and computer software packages.
• Fundamental understanding of the process safety management (PSM) standard is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and instrumentation projects and/or maintenance work.
• Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
• Provide and modify instrument and electrical drawings as needed.
• Write and or modify programs used by site programmable logic controllers.
• Prepare electrical and instrumentation estimates for projects.
• Act as a project manager on small projects.
• Monitor project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule.
• Provide technical support for the facility's instrument and electrical maintenance department.
