Job summary
A staffing agency is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design and oversee electrical systems for autonomous marine robotics. In this role, you will be responsible for the full architecture of electrical systems, ensuring they are robust and reliable. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in system-level engineering, particularly in complex electromechanical systems. Qualifications
2-5 years of system-level electrical engineering experience in complex electromechanical systems.
Proven experience taking hardware from prototype through production.
Exposure to marine, aerospace, robotics, or autonomous systems.
Experience with uncrewed or remotely operated vehicles strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Own the full electrical architecture across propulsion, energy storage, power distribution, control systems, and communications.
Define system topologies, interfaces, grounding, and shielding strategies.
Create system-level documentation including block diagrams, power trees, and schematics.
Develop and maintain power budgets for various conditions.
Lead component and vendor selection for various electrical systems.
Evaluate trade-offs across performance, reliability, cost, availability, and lifecycle risk.
