Electrical Superintendent- Mission Critical- Traveler (AFG)

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) specializes in Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing projects, focusing on cutting-edge work for clients in large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor sectors. As part of this team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects across the country, expanding your career alongside industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities - Core
  • Lead safety culture, promote injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee overall project workflow.
  • Supervise company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO.
  • Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
  • Coordinate project site care, custody, and control.
  • Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
  • Participate in progress and OAC meetings.
  • Manage project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Monitor project budget and costs using management systems.
  • Communicate project information to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation and logs.
  • Approve and record cost information, complete reports.
  • Evaluate progress, manage materials and equipment needs.
  • Support procurement processes and assist in selecting tools and equipment.
  • Manage timecard approvals, ensure quality compliance, support project closeouts.
  • Participate in project pursuit, staffing, scheduling, and change negotiations.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn.
Additional Responsibilities - Superintendant 2
  • Manage complex stand-alone projects from start to finish.
  • Identify and manage project risks, participate in project pursuits, and negotiations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Effective communication, relationship-building, proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and construction technology.
  • Understanding of construction processes, labor productivity, budgeting, and safety standards.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 5+ years construction experience; 3+ years supervision; Lean principles experience preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid driver’s license required, ability to lift 50 lbs, travel and work non-traditional hours may be necessary.
