Job summary

Adams-Electric-Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Superintendent to plan, direct, and supervise electrical work on complex projects in Florida. You will coordinate with trades, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across sites.

The role requires BIM input, scheduling oversight, and the ability to train and lead electricians and helpers while maintaining budget and timeline objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year as Electrical Construction Superintendent.
  • Experience reading specifications and blueprints.
  • Ability to supervise electricians and subcontractors.
  • Strong safety and quality focus.

Job description

Plan, direct, coordinate and supervise personnel as well as activities concerned with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and components.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supervise and direct the electrical work in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines and coordinate with other trades, to ensure compliance with the overall project schedule and contract documents.
  • Lead by example
  • Implement quality control measures.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
  • Prepare and provide documents such as Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and safety reports.
  • Interpret and track project schedule to provide two week look ahead and forecast manpower requirements based on the project goals and schedule
  • Read specifications and blueprints to plan procedures and determine construction requirements
  • Track and complete weekly time sheets on an IPAD or computer tablet.
  • Formally manage and request materials and supplies
  • Supervise, coordinate, and assign the activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers and temp workers
  • Assist project manager in selecting and contracting with subcontractors, and directly oversee subcontractors who complete specific pieces of the project, such as fire alarm, nurse call, etc.
  • Proactively confer with management, trade partners, other departments and contractors in order to coordinate work activities and prevent/resolve problems
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment
  • Analyze worker, foresee any production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
  • Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Meet all requirements as an electrician and perform the work normally assigned to electricians
  • Provide input and supervision of the BIM process and installation.
  • Maintain basic computer skills

Experience
  • Electrical Construction Superintendents: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification
  • Driver's License
  • Electrical License (Preferred)
