Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in the field from kickoff through completion. The ideal candidate leads field teams, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures safety, schedule, and quality.

You will manage blueprints and drawings, monitor progress with Project Managers, and build strong client relationships while maintaining budgets.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial/industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Experience leading diverse field teams and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with plan reading, specifications, and drawings.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily field operations for commercial/industrial projects.
  • Lead Foremen, Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with Project Managers.
  • Review drawings and specs to ensure work aligns with plan.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and manpower to meet timelines.
  • Conduct daily jobsite planning meetings and communicate expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Monitor workmanship and resolve field issues and scheduling conflicts.
  • Coordinate inspections and maintain project documentation.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on progress, labor forecasts, and budgets.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, general contractors, and inspectors.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects in the field from project kickoff through completion. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in Electrical Construction who can effectively manage field personnel, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily field operations for commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Lead and coordinate Foremen, Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure work is completed according to plan.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower to maintain productivity and project timelines.
  • Conduct daily jobsite planning meetings and communicate project expectations with field personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, NEC requirements, and company safety policies.
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure quality standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, scheduling conflicts, and unforeseen project challenges.Coordinate inspections with local authorities and ensure all required documentation is completed.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers regarding project progress, labor forecasts, scheduling, and budget considerations.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients, general contractors, inspectors, and project teams.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Foreman managing commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Experience leading commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, data center, or institutional electrical projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
  • Proven experience managing field labor, subcontractors, scheduling, and productivity.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, or similar platforms.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred but not required depending on state requirements.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
