Job summary
AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Associate Electrical Software Engineer to join the Software Validation and Testing team. You will validate software and hardware systems across test environments, working with software, electrical, and systems engineers to ensure reliability and performance throughout development.
The role involves hands-on testing, HIL/SIL methodologies, and on-site support during test campaigns, with emphasis on thorough documentation and adherence to safety and engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Software engineering or related field.
- Experience with software validation, hardware testing, and lab operations.
- Experience with SIL/HIL testing concepts and test automation preferred.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of component-, subsystem-, and integrated system testing activities.
- Document test results, analyze data, and generate reports for stakeholders.
- Assist with investigation and resolution of test failures and anomalies.
- Develop test plans, procedures, scripts, and validation methodologies.
- Serve as on-site electrical engineering resource during test campaigns and validation activities.
- Ensure EGSE and lab equipment are operated safely and effectively.
- Track deliverables, milestones, and action items across the team.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and electrical engineering teams on integration testing.
