Job summary

Facilities Maintenance Management (FMM) is seeking a Traveling Electrical Site Supervisor to manage a commercial electrical project in New Mexico. You will lead a crew of electricians, ensure proper installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, and conduct regular inspections.

The role includes housing, per diem, a company vehicle, and standard benefits. After project completion (2+ years) there is potential to manage another area.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Must adhere to safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical work.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations and understanding client/company policy.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects using FMM’s core values of Quality, Teamwork, Pride, Passion, Integrity.
  • Proficient in computer, text, and email skills.
  • Proficient in using power tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience with high/low voltage systems.
  • Ability to build/install electrical systems in commercial/residential settings.
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, diagrams.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Heavy Travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish high-quality work practices aligned with FMM mission.
  • Assist with electrical work when needed.
  • Coordinate projects and maintain schedules for timely crew completion.
  • Produce sketches and layout drawings for projects.
  • Minimize errors and solve problems quickly.
  • Train new electricians or build a training crew.
  • Understand electrical system installation in ground-up commercial projects.
  • Execute all aspects of new construction commercial electrical builds, including trenching, layout, equipment installation, distribution, feeders, trim-out, troubleshooting, code compliance, safety, and cost control.

FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fill our Traveling Electrical Site Supervisor role to manage a commercial electrical project in New Mexico. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide.

Job Summary: The Traveling Electrical Site Supervisor will manage a commercial electrical project in New Mexico. They will manage other electricians to ensure they properly install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and they will conduct regular inspections to make sure that all required supplies, materials, and equipment are available and working as intended. This job includes housing, per diem, a company vehicle, and all standard company benefits! Upon completion of this project (2+ years) is the potential to manage a project in a different area.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Establish high-quality work practices that align with the mission of FMM
  • Assist with the electrical work when needed
  • Coordinate projects and maintain schedules to ensure crew members complete their work on time
  • Produce and prepare sketches and layout drawings for projects
  • Minimize errors and solve problems quickly
  • Train new electricians or establish a team of crew members who facilitate training to new electricians
  • Have complete understanding of electrical system installation in ground up commercial projects
  • Can implement all aspects of a new construction commercial electrical build. Slab rough in, wall layout, installation of equipment/gear, power and lighting distribution, feeder pulls, trim out, trouble shooting, code compliance, best standard electrical practices, cost control, and crew management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical work
  • Must have knowledge of safety rules and regulations and learn client and company policy.

  • Proficient in computer, text, and email skills
  • Proficient in using power tools and electrical testing equipment.

  • Experience working with high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and concepts
  • Ability to build and install electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ability to manage challenges and lead with confidence
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Heavy Travel is required
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle report screening
  • High noise environment
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and working around construction machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
