Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and light industrial environments
• Perform service work on interior and exterior lighting systems and electrical components tied to HVAC/refrigeration
• Respond to service calls and after-hours when needed
• Troubleshoot using meters, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Complete minor installation work, retrofits and system upgrades
• Collaborate with HVAC technicians when electrical issues affect mechanical systems
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
• Follow OSHA safety standards

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Service Technician with a strong service mindset to support commercial and industrial clients. This role is primarily focused on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems. This is a field-based role requiring a technician who can work independently, communicate with customers, and respond to service calls efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in commercial and light industrial environments
• Perform service work on systems such as:
• Interior and exterior lighting systems
• Electrical components tied to HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Respond to service calls and emergency requests, including after-hours when needed
• Perform electrical troubleshooting using meters, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Complete minor installation work, retrofits, and system upgrades
• Work closely with HVAC technicians when electrical issues impact mechanical systems
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
• Follow all safety standards, including OSHA guidelines

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical service work
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (this is a service-first role)
• Experience working with:
• Electrical controls
• Commercial equipment (HVAC/refrigeration exposure is a plus)
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to work independently in the field

Nice to Haves:

• Journeyman Electrician license (or working toward it)
