Job description

This position is eligible for a Tiered Sign-On Bonus up to $5,000.
What You'll Be Doing

If so, thePhysical Plant division ofWake County General Services Administrationwouldlike to meet you! We are seeking qualified applicants for ourElectrical Senior Technicianposition.

Primary Duties:

  • Complete therepair or replacement of electrical, emergency power, fire alarm systemsand related devices in Wake County facilities
  • Performpreventive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability of building infrastructure
  • Assist inperforming required testing of electrical, emergency power, fire alarm andrelated systems
  • Completeroutine, preventative maintenance as well as emergency work orders asassigned including power outages, fire alarm troubles, generator failuresetc
  • Monitorswork progress completed by contractors
  • Entersinformation on work orders including time, materials and field notes onmaintenance and repairs into GSA's Computerized Maintenance ManagementSystem (CMMS)

NOTE: A criminal background and credit checkwill be conducted.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience in electrical maintenance
  • Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
  • NC Electrical License
  • Nicet level 1 or the ability to obtain within one year of employment

  • Knowledge of relevant Electrical codes and regulations

Hiring Range: 23.57 - 33.64
