Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated senior‑level Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in driving our project success across diverse sectors, including multifamily, affordable housing, hospitality, adaptive reuse, tenant improvement, high‑rise, and mid‑rise projects. You will leverage your expertise in electrical design to create effective, energy‑efficient, and sustainable solutions while ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where your contributions will directly impact the quality and success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and full design.
  • Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
  • Apply engineering principles to electrical distribution, lighting and power systems design.
  • Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
  • Perform site visits and issue reports.
  • Generate and edit project specifications.
  • Attend meetings with clients and project teams.
  • Support construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
  • Contribute strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.
  • Manage project time efficiently, contributing to timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide quality control for project documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in electrical engineering within the building construction industry.
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience modeling electrical systems & compiling construction documents in Revit.
  • Experience with NEC.
  • This is an in‑person job and will require availability for in person meetings and site visits in addition to a flexible hybrid office policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PE license is preferred.
  • LEED AP is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Washington State and Seattle codes and sustainable design practices.
  • Electric Utility coordination, including experience with submitting service applications. SCL and PSE experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with design of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Project Management experience.
